Hey, I’m Ghada
I’m the creator of Spicy ADHD Journey — part PhD researcher, part chaos wrangler, and part-time cereal-for-dinner enthusiast.
I was diagnosed with ADHD in my twenties, after years of being the “together one” who always showed up, but constantly second-guessed herself behind the scenes.
This blog started as a way to make sense of my brain. Turns out, a lot of you needed the same thing.
What You’ll Find Here
This isn’t an ADHD advice blog.
It’s a space to name what’s actually going on under the surface. The spirals, the patterns, the quirks we’ve been masking for years.
- Lived stories (the messy kind)
- Gentle reframes
- Research-backed context (without the jargon)
- Humor, because otherwise we cry
- Zero pressure to “fix” anything
I Learn While I Write
I don’t write from a place of authority — I write from curiosity.
Every blog post is me trying to understand something I’ve experienced, researched, or felt 900 times but couldn’t quite name.
So if you ever feel like “Wait, I thought it was just me,” — you’re in the right place.
Academic Background
I’m currently pursuing a PhD focused on neurodiversity, identity, and lived experience.
So yes, what I write here is research-informed, but it’s also life-informed.
This blog blends personal narrative with academic inquiry, and I care deeply about making the research feel like it matters in real life.
To my supervisors and fellow researchers stopping by: thanks for respecting this as part of the work.
